Belgium Census of the Province of Wallon-Brabant: 1693 & 1709

These towns are in what is now known as the province of Brabant Wallon (Walloon Brabant). Brabant, was divided into two different regions: one part in Flanders and the other section in Wallonia. Even now, Belgium is so confusing with the Dutch and French language jurisdictions. This amusing video explains the language and political structure of Belgium.

In 1693 and 1709, These transcribed censuses, known as “dénombrements”, are of the towns recorded and made available by FamilySearch.org. Most of the village populations are of the year 1709, only a few villages have the 1693 census. .
